Ticao Island Resort has 3 room categories. All resort guests are entitled to free pony riding and kayaking around the resort, unlimited brewed coffee, tea, and purified drinking water available at the restaurant.

The locally made wooden kayaks is free for all resort guests. There is a limited number of kayaks so this is on a first come first serve basis. Guests may kayak right in front of the resort and move around the bay. There is also a mangrove river beside the resort which is another great place to visit.

Pony Riding

The Masbate province is the “cowboy” country of the Philippines because of its long history of ranches and rodeos. The oldest ranch dates back to 250 years ago! Located inside an old family cattle ranch, ponies and cows grazing around is one of the main attractions of Ticao Island Resort. Pony riding around the resort is free for resort guests. Please just ask reception.

Take a boat for a day and visit the various islands on the north side of Ticao Island. Island Tour —South Ticao

Two hours away from the resort and a full 8 to 10 hours out is a visit to the south of Ticao Island. Here you will get to visit the Bongsanglay Nature Reserve, a 240 hectare mangrove reserve and where you can find the Philippines’ 2nd largest mangrove. Other sites include the Bongsanglay Marine Sanctuary and Snake Island where there are literally hundreds of sea snakes inside an ocean level cave. The lunch to be served is part of the full board meal arrangement of the resort.

For an enjoyable day out at sea and spend the day snorkelling at Panumbagan Sandbar. Here you will snorkel in Pilar’s marine sanctuary where sea urchins (uni) and sea grapes are cultured for food.
