Non – Diving Activities

These are free activities for resort guests. There is a limited number of kayaks and SUPs so this is on a first come first serve basis. Guests may kayak right in front of the resort and move around the bay. There is also a mangrove river beside the resort which is another great place to visit.

Spend 3 hours on a fishing trip with a local fisherman. This is best done early in the morning. The fisherman will show you the local way of fishing and will share some of the ocean’s secrets with you.

PHP 600 per person

The Masbate province is the “cowboy” country  of the Philippines because of its long history of ranches and rodeos. The oldest ranch dates back to 250 years ago! Located inside an old family cattle ranch, ponies and cows grazing around is one of the main attractions of Ticao Island Resort. Pony riding around the resort is free for resort guests. Please just ask reception.

The mangrove river beside Ticao Island Resort is still one of the few areas in the world with fireflies a plenty and is a nice and simple evening activity. This is a guided activity and will last for about 1.5 to 2 hours.

PHP 400 per person

The Whale Shark Snorkeling activity in Donsol, is best done en route from Legazpi to Ticao Island or from Ticao Island to Legazpi as you may pass Donsol on your way in or out of the resort.

From November to June, whale sharks are in the waters of Ticao Pass and Donsol Bay. Donsol has become a favorite snorkeling area for continuously being home to the world’s largest congregation of whale sharks in a natural environment. Snorkeling with whale sharks is an exciting activity which is recommended to be done en route from Legazpi to Ticao Island or from Ticao Island to Legazpi. Group schedule assembly time is at 0730H.

PHP2,500 per person (on group boat basis)

Take a boat for a day and visit the various islands on the north side of Ticao Island. Go admire the beautiful limestone rock formations, swim and snorkel in lagoons with crystal clear water, admire the waterfalls, take a plunge in the pool under the waterfalls, and relax on one of the white sand beaches where we will serve your lunch.

A 5 to 6 hour activity inclusive of boat, guide services, snorkelling equipment, and environmental fees. The lunch to be served is part of the full board meal arrangement of the resort.

Medium Boat: PHP 9,500 up to 6 persons only

Large Boat: PHP12,000 per boat maximum of 10 persons

PHP250 per person to be charged separately

Two hours away from the resort and a full 8 to 10 hours out is a visit to the south of Ticao Island. Here you will get to visit the Bongsanglay Nature Reserve, a 240 hectare mangrove reserve and where you can find the Philippines’ 2nd largest mangrove. Other sites include the Bongsanglay Marine Sanctuary and Snake Island where there are literally hundreds of sea snakes inside an ocean level cave. The lunch to be served is part of the full board meal arrangement of the resort.

LARGE BOAT option only PHP16,000 per boat maximum of 10 persons in a boat.

Local guide included. Entrance fees and optional cottage fees apply and this is to be paid on site.

Discover the river’s wonders. Leave late in the afternoon before sun down to join the village local cast down his net. When the sun is about to set, admire the birds and wildlife who have made the mangroves their home. As night sets admire the firefly’s as the light up the trees and before heading back to the resort, re-join with the village local as you check your catch for the evening.

The Mayon Volcano activities in Legazpi, is best done en route from Legazpi to Ticao Island or from Ticao Island to Legazpi as you may pass Legazpi City on your way in or out of the resort.

Feel the majesty of Mayon Volcano. Drive an ATV to the Lava Wall of Mayon Volcano. This ultimate adventure rush takes you through gullies, rivers, and fallen rock. The entire trail is made by nature – made by the fury of Mayon . Trek up Mayon Volcano following the Farmer’s Trail. You will pass through grasslands, gullies, and vegetable farms. The higher you get the more beautiful the view and more majestic Mayon Volcano becomes. Can’t decide which one to do? Do both with our ATV + Trek option.

ATV only PHP2,000 per unit (single seater 150 CC unit)

ATV only PHP4,000 per unit (twin seater 350 CC unit)

TREK only PHP2,800 per person (minimum of 2 persons; solo surcharge of PHP2,000)

ATV with TREK PHP4,000 per person using single seater 150 CC unit (minimum of 2 persons; solo surcharge of PHP1,500)

Spend the day exploring the island by land. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature spots. Rates are based on a 1 person per motorbike or by owner mini jeep which can take 5-6 persons. Entrance fees are NOT INCLUDED are to be paid on site. Tour options are:

San Jacinto – Visit the town proper, and inland falls (3-4hours)
PHP 1,200 per motorcycle 

San Jacinto + Monreal – Extended trip goes to San Jacinto town proper, inland falls, and Matang Tubig springs. (5-6 hours).
